Performance

Serviceability

• LONGER-LIFE FUEL FILTER: Larger fuel filters in R2-Series excavators provide better system protection and longer life before replacement. With more than double the media surface area, it has more holding capacity to capture impurities for longer intervals. The filter is also easier to change and includes a clear water bowl for easy monitoring and a sensor to notify you when draining is needed.
• INCREASED ENGINE OIL SERVICE INTERVALS: The recommended engine oil service interval has increased from 500 to 750 hours, giving you more uptime per oil change.

Uptime Protection

• SIMPLE MACHINE TIE-DOWN: Get on and off the jobsite faster. Secure your load quickly, without searching for hard-to-reach tie-downs.
• REAR CAMERA: Get a better view of your jobsite with the optional rear camera on R2-series excavators. It offers a continuous rear view from the operator’s seat, providing an additional viewpoint to the working area in some applications. The camera is mounted high and out of the way to prevent contact with obstacles and debris. A protective structure further ensures rear display reliability.
